These are going to be in place friday afternoon through monday morning. The tags and pencils to fill them out are inside each cooler. We've made arrangements with 5 marinas to leave coolers in place. If you could help, I would very much appreciate your assistance. (We also need the little buggers too, so if you happen to catch something too small to eat, placing that in the cooler too would be earnestly appreciated.) If you could leave the guts in place we might have a chance to figure out other pieces of the study. It is also illegal to use live or dead bait when combined with a multiple hook setup. Snagging the fish is not allowed, just like with any game fish in the state. If you guys are filleting the fish, we could use the rack to collect the information we need for the study plus a little information placed on a piece of paper to put in the mouth of the fish carcass. Sheepshead must be at least 12 inches to be kept in the state of Florida, and nearly all fishing methods are allowed. (for those who can make the Tidewater Club meeting next tuesday, I've made arrangements to introduce myself and the study. (Hank Liao posted more details on the original board.) We're starting to collect information, and if any of you catching sheepies this weekend, I could really use your help. I'm a grad student at ODU, working on a study of the population dynamics of Chesapeake Sheepshead. This is a little off topic, but since this is a sheepshead how to discussion, I wanted to put a plug in for my masters thesis work.
